At Food Security and Nutrition support Organisation Kenya (FSNS-K), we believe that every child deserves the right to a healthy meal and a hopeful future. In collaboration with Koa Children Ministry, we have launched a dedicated feeding programme aimed at supporting vulnerable and orphaned children in our communities, especially in Kakamega County.
Many of the children we serve come from households facing extreme poverty, food insecurity, and lack of access to basic necessities. For them, even one nutritious meal a day can make a life-changing difference—boosting their physical health, concentration in school, emotional well-being, and overall development.
Our Approach:
Daily Nutritious Meals: We provide hot, balanced meals tailored to meet the dietary needs of growing children.
Safe Feeding Spaces: Meals are served in clean, child-friendly environments where children can feel safe, supported, and cared for.
Partnership-Based Impact: Working hand-in-hand with Koa Children Ministry, we ensure a faith-based, holistic approach that nurtures both the body and spirit of each child.
Community Engagement: We involve local leaders, caregivers, and volunteers to ensure the programme is sustainable and culturally responsive.
Why It Matters:
Hunger is not just a lack of food—it’s a barrier to education, growth, and hope. Through this programme, we are not only feeding children but also restoring dignity, joy, and opportunity. Each meal served is a reminder that someone cares.
How You Can Help:
We invite individuals, donors, and partners to join us in this mission. With your support, we can reach more children, serve more meals, and expand our programme to other underserved areas.
Together, we are nourishing bodies—and building brighter futures.
